Meet Joseph Nucci
Joseph Nucci was born to be a therapist. Prior to his clinical training at Northwestern University, he worked with executive coaches and corporate trainers to help bring better mental fitness and wellness practices into the workplace. He also holds a Bachelor's from Wesleyan University's College of Social Studies, which combined economics, political science, history, and philosophy.
Joe specializes in working with the adult and adolescent children of dysfunctional families. He also treats couples. Joe operates from an integrative approach, combining different styles and modalities to meet the needs of his patients. His main orientations are humanistic therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. In addition, he has received special training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, psychopharmacology, mindfulness, and clinical hypnosis. He is a Gottman Level 2 trained couples therapist. He believes in maintaining an atmosphere that is comfortable for clients of all genders, sexualities, races, ethnicities, religious affiliations, spiritual practices, political orientations, or any other walks of life.
